I also have had troubles with LyX (1.1.5) and VNC - while LyX starts up
fine, there seems to be a problem with LyX keeping up with my typing in VNC
- it skips characters frequently, resulting in unusable work. Other
applications (ApplixWare, e.g.) work fine, and can indeed keep pace. FWIW,
this version of LyX worked perfectly in remote Xwindows sessions.
A final word: since compiling and installing 1.1.6pre3 (nice work!), my VNC
problem has disappeared. I, also, have not done my homework to figure out
why, content with the fact that it now works.
