Dear lyxers One of the most important things that I like very much of lyx it is the possibility to write nice style layouts to support commands and environments in latex. So, I'd like to suggest a basic improvement: Could be possible to implement a preamble-like mechanism in the environment box? It would be nice to have the possibility to add inc files to your document layout depending in your taste without run configure, in the same way that usepackage does by means of sty files. I mean, I wrote several *.inc files to support different latex commands but if I want to include some of them in one document I have to write the corresponding layout file and rerun configure. At the end I have a lot of document classes, but there aren't many differences between them. So, it is a little bit painful to rewrite several layout classes just to include support for some latex commands or write a document layout with support for a lot of commands that you hardly use it. Is there any future plan to improve this ? Thank you for developing lyx and maintaining these really helpful lists. Oscar
