Hello to everybody,

a serveral days ago I installed checktex on my
Linux RedHat 6.1 system just to prove if it might
be of some use to me.
After doing a lot of "texhash" and "reconfigure"
in Lyx nothing happens, possibly I've installed
chekctex at a wrong place !?

Now here are the directories and the relating
files where checktex has been installed by me:

/usr/local/bin (tried also at /usr/bin/):
checktex.tst
/usr/local/share/checktex/: checktex (script)
same directory: chktex.l (looks like C source
code)

Now my questions are:

1. Is there something missing ? (maybe a
checktexrc as mentioned in the docs ? I didn't
find it in the .tgz ball !)
2. Are the files installed at the right place?

Thanks in advance
Thomas
