I was considering changing a document with a large number of footnotes to use margin notes instead -- they're much easier to read in a PDF than footnotes are. The problem is that margin notes aren't numbered. This makes them a confusing mess when a page has several notes on it. How can I make them be numbered (in the text and in the margin, like footnotes are)? If this is covered in a doc somewhere and i missed it, please just point me in the right direction.
