euro symbol

Bad form to follow-up on my own query, but the complete eurosym
package, available at CTAN sites, includes the metafont specs, tfm
files, and .sty sheet to allow the use of the euro symbol with any
font.  It works fine with LyX.

My thanks to all who offered suggestions in response to my original
query.
