date and fonts

Hi folks

I've got 2 problems on my lyx edited documents:

1) my article style places a date just after authors name, which is not allowed
where I'm used to publishing, so I need to rget rid of it;
2) Whem I produce PDF flies (from a previous PS, which looks perfectly) and try
to see it through acroabat reader, doc's fonts look and print quite blur.

How could I sort it out?
