In what direction do you want to shrink it (horizontally or verically)?
Horiz: use extra options and insert something like @{}l@{} this should remove
space between cell and cell.
Vert: Before the table put in TeX mode:
\renewcommand{\arraystretch}{0.8} (default value here is 1.0)
