I only have the Windows version of Mathematica which only knows how to crash when I
want it to export it to Latex. Ugh. Bloat. But if your copy of Mathematica exports
at least something you can try to open the exported latex file in your favourite
text editor and then copy/paste the equation to a new .tex file which you feed LyX.
