One more time into the breach dear friends. I have spontaniously (well I
did a libstdc++ upgrade from SuSE and some other upgrades) broken my lyx
and can't seem to get it back. It can't find files it wants in /tmp or
(if \use_tmpdir false) even my home directory.
I have tried several lyx binaries and recompiles.
I keep getting the erronious linkage (?):
ldd lyx->
libc.6.so
libc.5.so
This was purported to come from xforms but I have installed (I
think) the clean xforms. If someone will help me troubleshoot the system;
I will try to put together a troubleshooting script. I tried the archive
but I didn't seem to find a clear answer. I don't know how bad a shape my
system is in now; I tried a lot of things! I have a lot of lyx bin and
source files laying around.
Help would be appreciated.
