I use 'wordview' from V.B.Wagner <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -I don't remember the site but I found it searching "word+processor+filter+linux" or something like that. Wordview picks your *.doc files and outputs to plain ascii. Indeed it gets straight quotes. Sorry. Abel
