I think this is wrong, [[Endnotes]] gives context of the module where is this string used, but I think the translation should be just for "Notes".

If you agree please fix that in fr.po, I'll merge the updated translation to layouttranslations file later...
I'm away until Friday, I will do it on Saturday, but feel free to update layouttranslations now if you like.
