You added this. This is the name you set in the LyX preferences under identity. This name is added to the LyX file when you make a change via change tracking.
I am asking because I am using an account for LyX were I never filled in the Identity pref in LyX
But this is my request. Please use a real name. I mean you know my real name but I don't know yours. Your name in your mails is "mn" your email is "mnork0". I don't understand why you fear to use your real name while all other LyX contributors do.
There are 2 problems for me here. I had some experiments done within the git tree and was not satisfied with the results _and_ the subsequent behavior of my local git tree.
You don't need to use git. Joust open the files with LyX and modify them in LyX and save them to the same folder and use the same name.
