Here are a few things I missed earlier in the different manuals. Many are
quite minor but will improve the overall presentation.

Introduction

Is in for LyX 1.6.8 and 2.0.

Tutorial

Is in for LyX 1.6.8 and 2.0.

User guide

3.5.2.5 Phantom Space
[footnote 5]There are also the commands \hphantom and \vphantom, but this is
too special . . . ['are' is more idiomatic here; 'this is too' - 'is' missing]

LyX 2.0 supports these commands directly so that this paragraph is no longer in
the UserGuide.
I fixed it in the LyX 1.6.8 version.

4.4.1 Image Formats
[final paragraph] Normally one can't convert a bitmap image into a scalable
one; however, the program Inkscape can convert a bitmap into a number of
scalable layers. We recommended you try this only with bitmaps which have a
small number of different colours. [New information for users]

I tried this several times with every new Inkscape version but there are still problems and one has to read the Inkscape manual carefully to understand how to use this feature properly. So this is something for experts and in my opinion too specific to add this info to the LyX userguide.

5.1 Basic Math Editing
[paragraph 5] . . . outside the text in their own paragraph . . . ['in their
own' is the correct expression; as it says elsewhere that they are in
paragraph of their own, saying that here seems better - or is there a reason
for saying it is 'like' being in their own paragraph?]

They are by default not an own paragraph. One has to press RETURN explicitly before displayed equations to get a new paragraph for them. This will change the vertical spacing in the output if you are using vertical space as paragraph separator.

I removed now the word "as" in this sentence.

All other changes are in for LyX 1.6.8 and 2.0.

Many thanks again for your revision!

From now on I won't change the documentation of LyX 1.6.x and will fully concentrate to update the docs for LyX 2.0. So for further reviews, please only use the versions you find in LyX's SVN trunk.

best regards
Uwe
