That is probably the fault of tgif. Export your figure to png and if that is of bad quality you should redefine (again) the tgif-> png converter: If tgif has no command line option to improve the png export quality write a little shell script that calls tgif to export to eps and then convert the eps file to png. That will probably give better preview quality. Georg
