OK - I'll wait with this. I did find the void
qt_mac_set_no_menubar_merge function Andreas mentioned, but wasn't
sure where to insert the call to it, and whether I still have to
remove all the WS_MACX specific code for the LyX menu (or can this be
left untouched then?). I assume the place to call
qt_mac_set_no_menubar_merge is main.C in the LyX source. That looks
simple enoguh, but removing the added code would be tricky.
In other words, since I have to do too much guessing, waiting may be
the most efficient course of action right now.
