We need to set some environment variables. Please have a look at the attached program modified from the same source as yours.
This looks good, we can replace the lyx.bat file with this shortcut.

Really? Have you tried? My understanding is that hidecmd hides the application (cmd) so if you run hidecmd lyx.exe, lyx itself will be hidden. Cheers, Bo
