I thought I might suggest looking at pyBugz, which is a Python script designed to interface with Bugzilla. The 'release announcement' can be found at http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.linux.gentoo.devel/40532/focus=40532. I don't know how helpful this'll be, but I thought I might as well draw people's attention to it.
