Localisation problems:
Hi.
I'm developing a localized version of LyX for Persian, based on LyX
1.3.5(It's too old :-) , but it was the latest version when I decided
to do the job), and I'm doing this with modifying files that render
Arabic text, because Persian is somehow similar to Arabic(same script
with additional characters, and some little differences). It's almost
done, using Omega for back end.
The problems I've encountered now are two things:
first, I don't want to use Inset Quotes, because in Persian keyboard
we have two keys for opening and closing quotation mark. I've done
this, but when I want to use the \" character for some other Persian
key, LyX processes this key and insert this in my document:
\begin_inset Quotes erd
\end_inset
that has undesired result.
Is there a way for not using this feature?
Additionally, I have a problem with ligatures. I don't' need them
either, because they've made problems for me. In Persian we don't have
ligatures, but as I'm using the Arabic code base, I encounter
'La'(Arabic lam+Arabic aleph) ligature, that is created incorrectly.
Typing 'Arabic lam' + 'Arabic aleph' does not create any ligature, but
typing 'Arabic aleph' + 'Arabic lam' creates ligature. This is
reverse. Maybe it's because of the reverse direction of Persian(and
Arabic) language. I tried to find the code that makes ligatures, but I
couldn't find anything. Could you please help me about these problems?
Thanks.
