They are coupled in a way, since a label in an unnumbered equation is hidden and does not survive a close file/open again operation. I do understand the problem now better and agree that the patch is not good. I'll put it on my TODO list for 1.4.3. > I'll attach the patch to the bug and retarget it to 1.4.x. Thanks.
