There was a bad translation of counters in pl.po. I updated it with
the version from the 1.4 branch (and italian too). Please try again.

They do not look right. We should find a way to convince gettext/iconv
to translate from iso8859-2 to cp1251.
Isn't this intl/iconv patch from Joost doing just that?
