Sure, it will work. But you don't notice any difference, right? I can
create additional detections methods for Python and MSYS and add two
more wizard pages to the installer, it however won't make things easier
for the user.
You only increase the possibility that things go wrong. Unlike the other
components, LyX won't work at all without MSYS or Python. It won't even
start.
These files are small and bundled anyway, so what's wrong with it?
