Wow -- a very nice feature! Of course, now that you've whetted my appetite, I want more.

The standard TeX distributions on Mac now include support for various standard Mac fonts, such as Baskerville, Didot, Georgia, Hoefler, Gill Sans, Futura, Lucida Grande, Optima, Verdana, and American Typewriter, some of which include true small caps and old style numbers. Including support for these (at least on Mac) would be great.

The catch is, these fonts are .ttf and so apparently work only with pdfTeX.

Given this limitation, would adding support for this be desirable? (If so, I can provide implementation details....)
