The reason is that I want to provide an option to switch the default family (\familydefault) for the document. On the LaTeX side, this already works. On the LyX side, however, the above change is needed for two reasons: - representation on screen - explicit selection of \textrm for a selection does only work if the surrounding text is not rm.
