With this I am able to read the utf-8 files created.
There are a couple of showstoppers yet, before anything can be merged
to trunk. Of these the most important one is the segfault I get when
pressing any other key than a regular char.
As usual all help is appreciated.
(and comments of course)
PS. It is currently quite noisy, but it helps be track down errors.
