I am not sure why you are all harping on that. Competition is not
great. Diversity is.
My proposal: Let's have one (!) README.Win32 file that describes both
the scons build process with both MSVC and MinGW. I can imagine that
some people prefer MinGW over MSVC (or vice versa) but there is
definitely no need to mentiond auto* anymore. Competion in this context
is really nonsense.
