The session works still fine for me with the patch, so please
double check.
It certainly is not supposed to change any session behaviour.
Testing without the patch reveals that session window size/position
is *not* retained (though last file and cursor position within the
file are). So it's not a side-effect of this patch, but the session
behavior has changed for me, at least, sometime in the last few weeks
on an otherwise unpatched and up-to-date lyx-devel tree.
