Hmmm. Could this again be one of those "cursor remains hanging in
mid-air" things?

You replace a word (say, 5 characters) by an inset, i.e. a single
"character". The cell length is reduced by 4. Should the cursor.pos() be
reset?

Does it happen for other insets besides charstyle?
