As far as I am concerned, this would be very welcome. There have also been talks of using a wiki for the site, but I am not sure it is relevant to static text like what we have.

Just to clarify. I've never intended to suggest that we merge www.lyx.org with wiki.lyx.org. Keeping the official pages separate and not easily "contaminated" from community pags seem necessary to me.

What we could do however, is use PmWiki as a CMS (like Zope, Plone etc). This would make it easy for us to edit the content of www.lyx.org. It'd still look like a web site and there would be no "Edit links" etc. Things like that would just be a convenient way for us to change content.

The one advantage PmWiki has over Zope/Plone/whatever is that I'm familiar with PmWiki and could then help maintain www.lyx.org. Another possible advantage might be that it'd be easier to migrate information from wiki.lyx.org into www.lyx.org if that is ever desired.

regards
/Christian
