You're right, of course, but if you start XWin with the -multiwindow
option, then you hardly are able to tell that it is not a native app.

If we agree on the definition that a native app is the one which is not
linked against cygwin1.dll, then both versions of LyX that I build are
not native apps, but one requires X11 and the other does without it.
This last version is really undistinguishable from a real native LyX
but *is* a cygwin application. For example, the lyxclient works.

I really would like to know if it does. I bet that the X11 version
works, but I am not able to tell about the other version.
