For what is worth, I have to say that the installer for 141 (dots abbreviated) actually works on Win98. The problem starts on trying to get LyX to run. Crashes badly, without telling you why: only this bl**dy "Page" protection error/fault/whatever screen... > > I am curious to know if the cygwin version works on WinME.
