Concerning the fact that --with-extra-prefix does not work: do you
have the right test.exe in your path?

I guess you would need a mingw test.exe. Does such a thing exist?
I haven't found one. I have checked my Msys and Mingw /bin/ directories
and none contains "test.exe". But Msys has a perl script "test.pm" and
the --with-extra-prefix work under Msys so I guess that's what it's
using. I need now to find a cygwin equivalent.
