Indeed.

   idx - pit - pos.

'pof' would be sort-of-ok, but is easy to confuse with 'pos'. Not nice.

'poff' has a letter to much and will screw up quite some formatting.

'pfs' or such would be different enough, but then we could as well stick
with 'pit', as it makes as much sense (namely: baerly any).
