Hello Ekkehart,

How is paragraph creation/deletion for you? Do you have a sensible delay when you press "Enter" at the end of a paragraph in your big document?

FYI, the difference in scrolling speed using PageDown key between 141 wo Natbib and 137 is not a good test WRT performance. This is because the scrolling strategy has changed in 14x. This could be made quicker.

Yes, I do. This seems to explain a lot of the difference between 141 and 137, but not all.

I am working now on a different computer. It gives the following results (Instant preview switched off, scrolling through the manuscript with page down pressed.):

141 with Natbib: After one minute I have reached what corresponds to page 18 on the PDF output of 250 pages. (did not wnat to wait 'till the end.)

141 without Natbib: 1 min 31 seconds to scroll through the manuscript.

137 with or without Natbib: 31 seconds.

Regards

Ekkehart
