Dear list, After a full days struggling, I finally have lyx1.5svn running under windows (with no aspell support). I applied and tested the following patches:
1. my session patch. All features work fine, including remembering of windows size/position, save/load bookmarks, lastfiles, restore cursor to saved document locations, open files from last session .... .The only thing missing is the GUI support for the new rc entries. 2. local .cls and .layout patch works great. I now have my thesis ( a bunch of .lyx, .pdf figures, .cls, .layout, .bib, .bst, 130 pages) all in a path *with space*. I can simply double click the lyx file and work. This is a GREAT feature to have. 3. space in .bst path patch works, proved by the existence of bibliography in my thesis. (previously, no.) 4. Automatic partial re-configuration. *No*, because, as far as I understand now, windows does not have last_write_date for directory. If I need this patch to work, I will have to compare the date of all files under $HOME/.lyx/layouts with the date of $HOME/.lyx/textclass.lst . This does not sound too difficult though. I would really suggest that 1, 2, 3 go into 1.5.x, or even 1.4.1. BTW, building lyx/win has been painful, I will report my ordeal tomorrow. Cheers, Bo
