Text strings are more easy to remember anyway. Not so good from a semantic point of view: IMHO Bookmarks are not really part of a document, but of the session (like cursor positions etc). In particular I would not want to share bookmarks together with documents. Imagine for example multiple authors working on a book under version control. Everybody has probably different bookmarks, and they would interfere with each other. Georg
