We need to improve our commit logs to be more similar to what we
write in the changelog, sure. That is part of the deal if we decide to
drop use of the ChangeLog. (I also like the C-x a in emacs quite a
bit)

Problems with the changelogs as we have them now are:

        - There are more than one. Har to figure out which one came
          with the same commit. Total disregard of subversion revision
          numbers.

        - You have to create two logs (++) one for the ChangeLog and
          one for the commit log. And yes, you are correct, currently
          the commit log suffers.
