If we are using a paperpackage a4* that defines the papersize. What does it means to use a3paper with a4wide? :-) What complicates things a bit what that shift in the paperpackage name. I think that Jürgen found the bug where a paperpackage was wrong because of a GUI glitch. This bug was unrelated but it is necessary to take it into account to understand lyx2lyx behaviour. What the patch does is that if the paperpackage is declared default or a4 (that was never a4) it ignores it and it uses the original paper size. > JMarc -- José Abílio
