I just thought that putting them in the LyX resources directory would be
an easy thing. If it's not really easier than making it a configuration
setting there is no point in it.
Of course it would be a good idea to give the user the option where to
look for dictionaries. A dictionary installer could check the LyX
configuration file to know what the default location should be.
Anyway, this won't be in 1.4.0. For now, if you can make the small
modification to your shell script so it will work with my new installer
script, things should be fine.
