  It is more complicated than that. Due to a long development cycle of 1.4, 
1.3.7 become the best and more stable lyx version ever to be released, making 
the comparasion between 1.3.7 and 1.4.0 even more unfair (as if it was 
possible ;-).

  We became addicted to its stability so it is difficult to say goodbye to an 
old friend, and if we stay like this I will expect to see someone asking for 
1.3.8. :-)
