You mean \layout "" ? That works in both 1.3.7 and 1.4cvs (but produces the warning Layout '""' does not exist in textclass 'article'. Trying to use default layout instead. in 1.3.7, which is acceptable IMO. It has also the advantage that we would not trigger bug 2088 in 1.3.7 lyx2lyx. The empty layout does not work in 1.4 anymore, I just tried. Personally, I think I > like it. OK, here is the proposal: Replace any occurence of the hard coded layout Standard in lyx2lyx with an empty string "". This is a minimal change and requires no changes in LyX. Lars, would this be OK for 1.4.0 (of course after some testing)? If yes, I'll prepare a patch. Georg
