Ops, it wasn't quite that bad. Pressing either "cancel" or "ok" closes
the dialog, and the new cursor position is stable after that. This is
an easy enough _workaround_, but not what your average user
expects given the non-modal dialog. I still think this should be fixed,
but getting 1.4.0 out is probably more important.
