There is no hard rule as far as I can tell.
If it's a bit more involved than simple search & replace or other
'cosmetic' changes it might be appropriate to add a new \author entry.
For a Qt 3 -> Qt 4 port (especially when not using the Q3* support
classes) I'd expect most of the .C and some of the .h files getting
additonal \author entries.
