  You have concept checking turned on, that means that like in this case there 
was an illegal memory access, so lyx crashes, but this only happens in a 
development version, as this feature is disable for production/stable code.

  Certainly a bug like this would probably later cause a crash, but what you 
seeing here is a debugging feature, not a bug.
