Can you also view and process pdf, eps, gif, jpg, and png images?
At least JPG and GIF works, so that's nice. However, it takes forever
and ever to preview a document with this stuff.
Do you mean to preview it as DVI? In PDF it would take less time because
there can jpg, pdf, and png images be directly embedded.
But anyway, the conversion process is not that slow, the most time takes
Yap which has to convert the image again to display it. This is
necessary because DVI was not designed to use it with images so that the
image display needs some program runs in the background which takes a
lot of time.
The convertion is slow - although the CPU usage is 0% - it there some
time-out somewhere?
Don't know. I'll contact the author of Yap.
Anyway, it works.
This lets me sleep well ;-)
OK, could you please log i as administrator, start regedit and have a
look at the following registry entry:
Key Name:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.pdf\OpenWithList
Class Name: <NO CLASS>
Name: a
Data: adobe.exe
I expected acrobat.exe or AcroRd32.exe at "a". Thanks for the report,
the next installer version will be fixed.
