Lars is free to decide otherwise, but if we are going to touch the update mechanism, I think it is better to make it as clean as possible, so that we understand it and can maintain it. The idea is to avoid to have a mix between Andre's and Martin's view of update. Do you think this would be a lot of code? As I understand it, the performance would be the same. Take your time to think about it before coding, then :) Alternatively, you could add comments in the code about how it should be done and why it is not done yet. JMarc
