Hello, Got a better report on the state of affairs on Win95. LyXWin crashed on start saying "The library OpenGL.dll is not in the system". This library is required to handle graphics, and the standard wasn't supported by Win95. However, as someone pointed out in the user mailing list, LyXwin 1.3.5 runs pretty well, not only on Win98, but also on my Win95 toaster (Intel 486, 16Mb memory; painful, but doable). Apparently, the exes distributed with 1.3.5 were linked directly to some MS Visual C libraries: that's the main difference I gather by simple inspection on the distributions. EOT Luis.
