"Label" (in the context of crossref labels) are usually translated
as "Referansemerke". Not only is that very long, but it felt
wrong in that place. It is a "referanse/reference" to something,
after all.
Well, I disagree. If you create a cross reference, you have to point
to a _label_. So what you have to specify in the dialog is really a
label. You don't specify a cross-reference inside the cross-reference
dialog. You specify a cross-reference by _invoking_ the dialog. If you
rename label to reference, then button "Go to label" no longer makes
sense.
I have seen the suggestion of auto-creating (invisible) labels for
commonly referenced items, such as all sections & figures.
If that goes through (sometimes in 1.5?),
we definitely need to change the wording
because there won't be a user-visible label at all. Mostly direct
references to the figures/sections themselves, from the user viewpoint.
There will probably still be labels, but they will then be for "unusual"
occations only.
