I have one "dirty" tree with lots of changes and one "clean" tree for
applying patches. When I prepare a patch I sometimes have to edit things
out by hand. I usually test that it can be applied, but normally I only
do a compile test before applying. The latter was missing for the
latex_path patch because I was in a hurry :-(
