Only in this case you're proposing that LyX is "lyx" on POSIX and LyX is
"LyX" on Windows and Mac OS X.

Well, if we can do this, why the hell don't we do it now? Just tell Bennett
and me to add this PACKAGE option to configure. It's not as if I'm using a
pristine invocation of configure...

--prefix='${LYX_INSTALL_DIR}' --enable-maintainer-mode --without-x
--with-included-gettext --with-pspell --with-extra-prefix='${ASPELL_DIR}'
