Others have reported that Instant preview works well. Can you run lyx from the command line and see if any error messages are illuminating? Also there should be a latex log file in C:\Documents and Settings\Eugenio\Local Settings\Temp\lyx_tmpXXX\lyx_tmpbuf0\ -- Angus
